Cards By Angi’s Angels is a local group of women, making one-of-a-kind greeting cards sold in local-area stores–including Farmington Gardens.  For the past ten years, they have been one of Portland’s Top 100 Fundraisers, donating 100% of their profits of card sales to their Race for the Cure team.

Cards By Angi’s Angels has raised more than $30,000. That is equal to over 300 mammograms for women.

The backstory…

In 2007, the team of Angi’s Angels was formed to participate in the Portland Race for the Cure walk. After the first year, they brainstormed different ways to raise money, without asking for donations. And because one of the team members was already making handcrafted greeting cards, they decided to make more, and try to sell them.
After taking samples around to several local shops willing to sell the cards without taking a commission, they found several locations throughout Forest Grove, Hillsboro, and North Plains.

The women get together often for “card days” and also work on them in their own time in between. Though their core card-making group stays pretty constant, every year different friends and family join in on the card-making action, in support of their efforts.

These days, “Mama Maridee” keeps it all going and is always busy with card-making. “We are able to have fun while hopefully making a difference, no matter how small, in finding a cure for breast cancer. Together we can make a difference, one walker or one card at a time!”
